“Betty” Elizabeth (Matra) Alfonzetti of Somers, NY passed away on December 10th, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Scilla, Italy to Anthony and Anna Matra on April 24th, 1942. Betty is survived by her loving husband Rocco Alfonzetti Sr., her three children, Vitaliana (Paul) Maffucci, Elizabeth (Ian) Ceppos and Rocco (Donna) Alfonzetti Jr. and her eight grandchildren, Gina, Brianna and Daniel Maffucci, Carina and Luke Ceppos, Rocco, Ella and Tessa Alfonzetti. She is also survived by her eight siblings, Joseph, Frank, John, Nancy, Rocco, Dominic, Angelo, Maria and their families. Betty loved to spend time with her family enjoying food, laughter and happiness. She was the happiest when she was caring for the people she loved. She enjoyed cooking, golf, gardening and world travel. Her food brought joy to everyone. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Judes Childrens Hopsital. The family will receive friends today, Friday, at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville from 3 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM at Holy Innocents R.C. Church in Pleasantville. Entombment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
