Thomas Paul Lachman

Died January 18, 2016 suddenly. Survived by his son Daniel of AZ, Brother Jeffery of AZ, Brother Carl,
Sister Diane & Lisa all of NY. Numerous Nephews & Nieces. 3 Great Nephews and 1 Great Niece. Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Shirley & Charles Lachman of Hawthorne, NY.

He graduated Westlake High School in Thornwood, NY in 1975.

He served in the US Air Force from 1975-1978. Was stationed in Valdosta, GA as a Munitions Maintenance Specialist where he garnered the nick name “Tom Bomb” before being deployed to Guam. Then back to GA. He lived in N.C. for a time before settling in NY.

He worked in Heating and A/C and was a member of Local #21 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.
Recently retired to pursue his many hobbies.
He was an avid Hunter, Fisherman and Shooter.
He attended car shows with his 1951 refurbished Ford pick up truck of which he won honors.

Tommy had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back. His quick wit would catch you by
surprise and his knowledge of the Civil War was insurmountable.
He had a soft spot for homeless animals as was witnessed by his beloved cat Bismarck.

He lived his life on his terms.

Our hearts are broken… And your sudden passing has left a gapping hole not only in our hearts but in our lives….

So many people called you “friend”. But, we will always call you “Brother!”

Rest in peace… You are now free to soar with the Eagles!

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to The Mount Pleasant Sportsman Club, P.O. Box 121, Hawthorne, NY 10532 would be appreciated.
