Obituary for Pietro Maraldo

Born on October 31, 1927 in Meduno, Italy. Pietro cared about nothing more than the happiness of those around him. He lived to benefit his family and to make his friends laugh. An immigrant, he brought his wife and first son, Nick, to the United States in 1960. Later having his second son, John, in 1964. There's is so much to be said about Pete, so many stories. But what he was truly about was love. Love for the people he knew, and love for the people he met. Married 57 years to his wife Anna, Pete did everything out of love and compassion. He loved his grandchildren, Sally and Michael, his garden, homemade wine and cooking. He hosted countless parties with his friends, filled with amazing food and wine. He lived a life worth living, and touched everyone he met in a special way. Up until his last hours he made jokes and spoke of his future plans. His strength was unmatched, and at his core was determination. He provided love to his family as long as he could, and will always be with us in our hearts. He will be remembered as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. Most importantly though, Pete will be remembered for his big heart and the care he provided.
