Obituary for Barbara F. Vaccaro
Barbara Francis Vaccaro, age 67, passed away on March 12, 2020, in her home. Her sudden passing came subsequently to the death of her late husband, Dennis Richard Vaccaro Sr. Barbara is survived by three sons: Dennis Richard Vaccaro Jr., Robert Francis Vaccaro, and Nicholas John Vaccaro. Barbara was born on August 29, 1952, to her late parents Robert & Frances Francis. Born and raised in the community of Pleasantville, Barabara attended Pleasantville High School and graduated from The University of Vermont.
Besides being a loving mother and wife, Barbara was a valuable member of the Pleasantville community where she was a teacher and friend to many students, faculty, and parents alike.
She could frequently be found at Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville Country Club, and the Pleasantville Panthers High School football games.
Barbara’s greatest joys were being a wife to her husband, mother to her children, mother-in-law to Kathleen, Alyssa, and Stacy, and proud owner of her rescue beagles. She was a trusting neighbor to many and the welcoming committee for new families who moved to town. She was widely known for her famous stromboli. Her favorite color was Pleasantville green and she would never let you forget it. Many people in this community share their heartbreak alongside her family however they now find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her one and only love, Dennis Sr.
Family and Friends are invited to Beecher Flooks Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Holy Innocents R.C. Church.
