Beverly Shechtman
White Plains, NY- Beverly Shechtman, known to many as Mom, Bev, Bevy, Grandma Bev, Great Grandma Bev, ”G.G.” or Mrs. Shechtman, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, during her almost 97th year. She lived right to the end of her life with grace and dignity. She was a long-time resident of Pleasantville, NY, and was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Joseph Shechtman. She later resided in Armonk, NY and finally to White Plains, NY.
Beverly is survived by her three adult children and their spouses, Dr. Lee Shechtman, Elizabeth Longo and her husband Nat, Dr. Frank Shechtman and his wife Marla. Grandma Bev adored her surviving grandchildren, Jody (Shechtman) Cohen, Kim Shechtman, Spencer and Lindsay Longo, Zachary and Ari Shechtman. Lastly, survived by her great grandchildren, Bode and Raegan Cohen, G.G. loved them with all her heart.
There are so many friends and cousins who survive Beverly. Her passions were each one of you. We thank you for your support and the kindness you have shared with us. We will hold her in our memories, in our hearts and minds as long as we all shall live.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday June 3rd at 9:30 AM at Congregation Bnai Yisrael, 2 Banksville Road at Route 22 in Armonk, New York. Burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
