Obituary for Dolores Lombardi (Parisi)

Dolores Lombardi
June 29, 1931-June 2, 2020

It is with great sadness, Dolores (Parisi) Lombardi, a lifelong resident of Haight Avenue Morris Park section of Bronx, NY and the last 3 years at The Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Valhalla, NY peacefully passed away on June 2, 2020

She was born on June 29, 1931 to the late Charles and Susan (Barba) Parisi. She was predeceased by her sisters Frances (Robert) Bartalini and Katherine Parisi. She graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx.

On April 24, 1956 she married Nicholas Lombardi who predeceased her in January 2000. When they retired they enjoyed winters in Tampa, Florida with thier friends.

Besides caring for her mother for many years, she was a very active volunteer at St. Clare's, Bronx, NY parrish and school, a Columbiette, and worked part time at Shopwell as a district managers secretary. Her pride and joy was her son, his friends and her 2 grandchildren. Providing them with delicious Italian appetizers, Scaglione bread, Italian meals and desserts made her day.

She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Nicholas (Eileen) Lombardi, Cherished grandchildren Christina and Thomas (Emma) Lombardi.

Due to CoViD-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held. Sadly, the usual wake, funeral and family gathering cannot occur at this time. Dolores would have wanted her life celebrated with family and friends gathering to enjoy food, (eggplant, braciole, pizzaiola) and drink.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the charity of your choice.
