For my love, after a long goodbye, I announce with profound sadness and tremendous loss, the passing of Martin J. Lapidus. A man with a truly wonderful wit and joyful laugh. A caring devoted husband to me, a loving father to Jessica Collins, her husband Nate, dear brother to Barbara Gortikov and David Lapidus. All the many nieces and nephews who always had uncle Marty(Smarty) at every single life event to cheer them on. A loyal friend and educator to so many as an esteemed dentist and professor at NYU. He was the man I was meant to meet and share life with from that Fire Island beach a lifetime ago to the rest of his life, lovingly by my side for 30 years.
