Edward Frank Cobelli Jr.
Left this earth too soon into the loving arms of our Lord on June 4, 2022 just weeks after his 65th birthday after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife and sons in his final moments.
Edward was born in Yonkers New York to parents Edward Sr. and Mary Cobelli of Lincoln Avenue on May 6, 1957.
In 1984 Edward ventured into the fleet industry and started Regency Westchester Limousine Service and quickly made a name for himself in the business. He also played a pivotal role in the formation of the first chapter of the Westchester Taxi and Limousine Commission in which he sat on the board as a founding member in the role of CFO.
In 1994 he started his career in the HVAC industry when he joined AirMac Distributing under John Santoro. He continued on in 2012 when it was purchased by Dasco Supply and became branch manager of their Elmsford location until 2019 when he was hired as branch manager for United Supply in Mount Kisco, New York.
Edward was a loyal and diligent employee for whomever had the privilege of having him on their team. He worked tirelessly to serve the hundreds of contractors he dealt with on a daily basis, many of which have become and remained dear friends to this day.
In 1985 he met his wife Mirella and in 1989 became part of another huge Italian family. They welcomed three beautiful sons Edward III in 1991, Joseph in 1997 and Christopher in 1998. He was a loving husband and proud father who raised his boys to adopt a strong work ethic as he himself displayed.
In 2001 they left their home in Mount Vernon and happily moved to the town of Wappingers Falls where they currently reside.
Edward was also known by his friends and family as the funny guy at the party with that unique sense of humor and charming personality who could either make you laugh or question why you came. He was also the guy you’d call if you needed anything, a tool for your project, a ride home, but most importantly, directions to just about anywhere.
He enjoyed team bowling from his youth to adulthood and on weekends enjoyed spending hours tinkering and driving his classic 1978 T-bird.
In addition to his wife and sons, Edward is survived by his brother John, sisters Sandy and Susan, and the many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his brother Tommy and his parents. Our hearts are broken.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville on Monday June 13th from 2PM – 4PM & 7PM – 9PM. A Prayer Service will be celebrated at 7PM at the Funeral Home, where we will have our final goodbye.
