Ellen Carol O’Connor of Florida, New York died on June 30, 2022 aged 70. Ellen was born on November 4, 1951 to William and Carolyn (Coutu) O’Connor in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. Ellen spent most of her childhood in Manhattan, and moved to Los Angeles in the 1970’s, where she raised her daughter Chloe (Salamon-O’Connor) O’Brien. She returned to New York in the 1990’s and spent the last several years living in Orange County with her husband Edward Gold, who grieves her loss.
Ellen was the oldest in her family and will be missed dearly by her younger siblings Annie O’Connor-Hughes, Kathy O’Connor, Tim O’Connor, Richard Zipser and Ann Bauer, along with other family members and friends. She was an active and energetic presence in the lives of her grandchildren – Connor, Eamon and Phineas O’Brien – who will always remember her as their loving Grammie. Her loss is mourned with great sadness by her daughter and son-in law Chloe and Patrick O’Brien.
