Obituary for Fernando Faustini
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, Fernando Faustini, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 87.
Fernando was born on September 13, 1933 in Ripi, Italy to Sebastian and Yolanda Faustini. At age 21, Fernando arrived in the United States and established a new home in The Bronx, New York. He married the love of his life, Rosalie Grasso, on July 1, 1956. Together they raised three children, Sam, Elizabeth, and Frederick.
Fernando was a contractor who had a long, successful career in construction. In 1994, he and his family moved into a beautiful home that he built from the ground-up in Pleasantville, New York. He was always looking for a new project, whether that be home renovation, tending to his garden, or even bottling his own wine. Above all, from those he saw every day to those overseas in Italy, Fernando loved his family.
Fernando was preceded in death by his father, Sebastian, his mother, Yolanda, and his
brother, Luigi. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie, and his three children, Sam (Cathy),
Elizabeth (Mickey), and Frederick (Suzanne). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Anthony, Gina, Amanda (James), Paige, Alana, and Frederick, and his great-grandson, Julian.
A private, for the family only, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 14th at 10:00 AM at Holy Innocents R.C. Church on Bedford Road. Entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley. In lieu of flowers kindly make contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation
