Obituary

Jaime Aisenson (Birnbaum) passed away on January 8, 2020, following a courageous battle with uterine cancer, at age 63. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Arthur and Lita Birnbaum.

Jaime received a MBA in Marketing Management from Pace University and a BA in Economics from Brooklyn College. She had a robust career in marketing. Most recently, she spent 16 years working at IBM as a Performance Marketing Manager. She was very passionate about her career, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Neil, as well as her daughters Rachel and Alyssa, son-in-law Jason, the light of her life, grandson Elijah, mother Lita, sister Debra, and brother-in-law Zane. She is also survived by many other dear friends and family.

Friends and relatives are invited to Jaime’s funeral service on Sunday, January 12th at 11:30 AM at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road in Pleasantville, NY. The service will be followed by the burial at New Montefiore Cemetery 1180 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704 (Long Island). Shiva will be held at 49 East Ridge Lane, Mount Kisco, NY on Sunday 4:30pm – 8:30pm, Monday 1-3pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday 1-3pm and 6-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Support Connection, 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 www.supportconnection.org. Jaime benefitted from this support group and raised money for this organization when she was briefly in remission. It would be wonderful to continue this legacy in her honor. Another organization important to Jaime was Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, as they are involved with cancer care and research. She desperately wanted to live. https://www.dana-farber.org/ Please direct your donation to Women's Cancers - Gynecologic Cancer. Unfortunately, a cure was not found in her lifetime, but your support would be impactful.

Dear all, I had the opportunity to work with Jaime at IBM for several years. I really enjoyed her and her vibrant personality. The most important aspect of her life was her family...she always talked about you guys. And when the grandchild was born...oh boy she was thrilled. I am really sorry for your loss. I hope you all will find comfort by being together during this time. I am not Jewish but I have experienced sitting Shiva and that was so healing. I hope your sitting Shiva will be a healing experience. Diane

Dear Alyssa, Rachel and Neil. Words can not express how deeply saddened I am by Jaime's passing. I send my sympathies to the family and all of Jaime's friends and relatives. To say Jaime was special is just the tip of the iceberg. I had the pleasure of working with her at IBM - she made work fun and was a genuinely cheerful person who put a smile on everyone's face. Jaime and I were also good friends despite the miles, I will never forget her warmth and caring nature. She was an example for us all of how to live well. Jaime has earned her wings and I will miss her terribly.

I met Jaime when we worked on the same team at Chase Bank and then she later brought me on to MasterCard. We continued to keep in touch as meet for dinners. We had a lot of fun remarking on the highs and lows of our long careers. And of course we shared the progression of our families. Jaime cherished her husband and daughters. She was so proud of the wonderful young women her daughters became and of course of her grandson. I just can’t believe this horrible disease has taken her. I will miss her. Sending strength to all of you in the difficult days ahead.
