Jean was born to Anna and Clement Giuriceo on May 10th, 1933 in Riverdale, New York and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx.

She married Charles Sullivan in 1951 and they had three daughters, Laura Bell, Barbara Hoffmeister, and Dr. Brenda Sullivan. She was predeceased by her husband in 1976 and married George Goresen in 1981. He died in 2011. Jean was also predeceased by her older brother Anthony Giuriceo.

Jean worked for more than two decades as Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of the Greenburgh Graham Schools in Hastings, New York.

For years she mentored young women as a Girl Scout Leader in Yonkers and was very active in the Scarsdale American Legion Post 52.

Over the course of her life, she was an avid world traveler, having visited all seven continents.
