Obituary

Josephine Camilli September 20, 1928 – May 14, 2020.

In Lieu of Flowers please donate to The Charge Syndrome Foundation @ www.chargesyndrome.org in Honor of Saylor/Josephine Camilli.

Josephine Camilli was a remarkable woman. You never heard her utter a bad word about anyone. She was the true meaning of loving unconditionally. She lived in the same home in Pleasantville, New York most of her life, first with her parents and then with her own family. Her home was always open, welcoming family and friends who made up her extended family. There was always room at her table; lunch, dinner or a cup of coffee or tea. She loved to fill her home with laughter. She owned her own business, a yarn shop in Pleasantville for many years called Yarn Bazaar. She loved to knit and her designs were absolutely beautiful. You could not wear anything she created without getting multiple compliments from complete strangers! She was also active in her church for many years as a member of The Rosary Altar Society. She cherished her family. Her most cherished times in her life were her visits, vacations, holidays and FaceTime calls with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband Arthur Camilli; her parents Carmela and Frank Carnabucci; sister Tina Carnabucci Berte (husband John); and her brothers Frank and Peter Carnabucci. In addition, her sister-in-law Emma Camilli Flewwellin (husband Ronald); sister-in-law Fran Camilli Bourne (husband Jack); brother-in-law Henry Camill (wife Marion); and nephews John and Peter Carnabucci, and niece Debra Flewwellin Giusti.

Josephine is survived by her sister Mary Carnabucci Agosta (husband George); her sister-in-law Millie Carnabucci; her sister-in-law Dorothy Carnabucci; sons Henry Camilli (wife Karen), and Frank Camilli (wife Michelle); and daughter Lisa Camilli Wagner (husband Frederic). In addition, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Lauren Camilli, Richard Camilli (wife Emily), Ashley Camilli Smith (husband Travis), Daniel Camilli (wife Marissa), Stephen Camilli (Hannah), Keri Blanco (husband Danny), and Alison Bianco (husband Mike); and by her most beloved great-grandchildren: Alexander Arthur, Gia, Sophia, Saylor, Anthony, Dominick, Ryan, Emma, and Luke. And further, by her nieces and nephews: Mary Camilli Bernat (David); Christopher Giusti (Denise); Steve Carnabucci; Frank Carnabucci (Mary); Nanci Carnabucci Fitzgerald (Kevin); Frank Berte (Cathy); Mary Joan Berte Boos; Margaret Agosta Zattola (John); Paul Agosta; great-nieces and great-nephews: Courtney Bernat; Ava and Sofia Giusti; Jacob Carnabucci; Sara and Andrew Carnabucci; Kolbe, Kelsey, and Mackenzie Fitzgerald; Jessica, Daniel, and Stephanie Berte; J. G. and Taylor Boos;
Thomas and Robert Zattola; and Marie and Nicholas Agosta.

And last… her lovely fur companion, Emma.
