Our beloved Kathleen Denton Irvine Schmidt has passed on to a beautiful eternal life on the 13th day of May 2021 at 12:42 am. Born to Wesley Irvine and Kathleen Irvine in Bronx, NY, on the 27th day of October 1936, she was an intelligent woman who successfully achieved her bachelor’s degree and worked as an administrative assistant, followed by a career in banking. Kathleen began a family of her own after marrying Robert Schmidt in 1973. She was born into a large, loving family with four siblings, which groomed her to love and positively influence the many people she had helped raise, including her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her unparalleled kindness and generosity have impacted the lives of many extended family and friends. She loved the New York Giants, New York Yankees, tennis, Pepsi, root beer floats, George’s Ice Cream, shopping on QVC, traveling, cooking, and most of all, spending time and sharing laughs with family and friends. Her passion for life was outstanding, and she certainly lived life to the fullest while bringing happiness to anyone around her. Those who spent a lot of time with her were blessed by her radiant personality and always recognized they had her in their corner. She will always be remembered for her fun, vibrant, loving spirit and many encouraging and beneficial words of wisdom. Kate “Katie Diddle,” you will be forever in our hearts!
Family, friends, or anyone else whose life she may have touched is invited to Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville, NY 10570, on the 23rd day of May 2021 between the hours of 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to reminisce and celebrate her beautiful life. Her burial will take place on the 24th day of May 2021 at 11:00 am at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
