Lynda Morris Obituary:
On Monday, August 5 2019, Lynda Morris, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 59.
Lynda was born on November 1st, 1959 in Jersey City to Jim and Elizabeth (McGeary) DeVira. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Marymount University in 1981. Lynda was a successful media executive having worked at Hearst Corporation and American Express Publishing. On July 26, 1986, she married David Morris. They raised a daughter, Emily, and two sons, Jim and Brendan.
Lynda had a passion for photography and gardening. She also loved the beach, specifically the Jersey shore. Lynda was known for her quick and easy laugh as well as the world’s best smile.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Jim, and her mother, Betty. She is survived by her husband David, her children, Emily, Jim, and Brendan, her step-mother JoAnn, her sisters Lauren and Susan, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2019 at St. Mary’s Church on 55 Valley Road in Katonah, NY at 1 o’clock. Following mass there will be a celebration of life at Waccabuc Country Club from 2:30pm-5:30pm.
