Obituary for Mary M. Marano (Marbach)

Mary Marano
Born in 1935 to John and Gertrude (Desch) Marbach. She was the only girl and youngest after seven brothers.
Mary attended St. John’s Elementary School, Our Lady of Good Counsel Academy, and Trinity College in Washington D.C. She taught 3rd grade at the Mamaroneck Avenue School in White Plains. She loved teaching so much that in the summers she was a camp counselor at the Mohawk Day Camp for five years. It was at Mohawk that Mary met and dated Tony (Champ) Marano. They dated for five years and married in 1958. They raised three children in White Plains, New York (Tom, Kathy and Michele). She volunteered formany organizations over the years, such as The White Plains Hospital Auxiliary, The White Plains Women's Club and The Tiger Fans Committee. She was an avid football fan and her love of watching the Notre Dame football games was known by all.
She loved and was so very deeply loved back by her family and many beautiful friends.
She is survived by her three children as well as her grandchildren, Kristin (Shawn), Lauren, Emily and Kylie; her great grandchildren Audrey, Joseph and Kyle; and her many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Dr. Anthony Marano, daughter Jennifer, son in law Charles Thompson, her parents John and Gertrude Marbach, and her seven brothers John, Joe, Bob, Bernie, Frank, Jerry and Paul Marbach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 5th at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in White Plains, NY. The burial will be private for family only.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in her memory be sent to White Plains Hospital for the Dr. Anthony J. Marano Cardiac Care Unit.
