Christian,
I live one mile from where you climbed with your son last Saturday. I was aware of the tragedy and rescue Saturday and Sunday. I cannot forget. I cannot comprehend what you are going through. I know the Platte Clove area and have guided multiple excursions through that Clove with children, youth and family. I went on Wednesday with my 15-year-old son to the cliff where you climbed, to think of you going through that evening and night. My family is deeply shaken by your loss. I had planned to drive down to the funeral reception with my son today to meet you, but travel was restricted. I sincerely hope to meet you some day and talk. I lost my father in a small airplane accident and lost my nephew this last December in a climbing accident. All our deepest condolences. Psalm 23 Bennie Blough, Platte Clove, NY

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Mattias, you are a magnificent boy and we will miss you.

Love,
The Cafiso Family
