Rick Slansky who was a dedicated Husband, father, brother, grandfather
and friend, passed at Vassar Hospital on March 14, 2023 at 10:17 pm. Rick
was 69 years old. Born in the Bronx on April 3, 1953 to Thelma and Norman
Slansky. After attending college to receive his Master’s degree in English,
Rick decided to take a different path in life and eventually became a manger
for Stop and Shop, where he worked for more than 35 years. Rick was his
wife Debbie’s wing man as they both volunteered their video talent for
more than 20 years to the Mamaroneck Fire department, Mamaroneck
Police department, Mamaroneck Historicity Society, Westchester Jewish
Community Services, Mamaroneck Methodist Church and LMC T.V. Rick
also followed and documented his wife’s travels as a professional clown all
over the east coast and Las Vegas, Neveda. Rick’s joy came from his
beloved dogs, the New York Mets, the Knicks, and spending his vacation
with his wife of 43 years in Wildwood, New Jersey. Rick was an
extraordinary and compassionate friend who loved going out to breakfast
and Renegade games with them. Ricks love for Debbie shined like a
Glorious Rainbow over the world. Rick is survived through his loving wife
Debbie, and his four children; Kelly and her husband William, Victoria
Lee and her husband Craig, Jon and his wife Shaun Marie, Micheal
and his wife Quincy. Grandchildren: George, Alyssa, Peter, and Gabi.
He is also survived by his brother, Paul and his wife, Liz and niece, Grace.
