Robert (Bob) Crowley of Glen Allen VA died on October 23, 2022 after a short illness. Born in 1956 in Poughkeepsie NY, he grew up mostly in Bedford NY where he graduated from Byram Hills HS. In 1980 he married Henrietta Strusz and they had one son, also Robert. He had a successful career in software for GE, Pepsico and Capital One. These talents were fully on display at all locations that he worked, and his colleagues truly appreciated them. The pinnacle of his career was creating an operating system for Pepsico which earned him a patent.
After he retired, he was active in fantasy football and was known to enjoy a glass of cabernet as well as meeting with friends and colleagues from his working years. Whenever he could combine the two was even better, and he did so often. His beloved wife, known as Henny, died in 2014, and he is survived by their son Robert (Rob) Crowley. He was a friend always willing to go the extra mile, a caring brother, a doting father, a proud son, and an exceptional husband, and these were the traits he was most proud of.
Visitation will be held at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville NY, near his friends and family, on Wednesday November 2nd between 1 and 4 o’clock.
