Obituary for Roger Keith LaRocque
Roger Keith LaRocque of Bolivia, NC, formerly of Peekskill, NY, passed away on March 24, 2023, at age 63 in his home.
He was born May 9th, 1959 to Lawrence LaRocque and Marjorie Gilda Jackson LaRocque in Mount Kisco, NY.
He was a creative and talented chef who worked in the restaurant business most of his life. He was well known for his work at Gordo’s Restaurant in Hawthorne, NY.
He made lasting connections through this trade and his main goal was always to make people smile, whether it be through a pleasant meal or a quick witted joke. He was an avid NY Giants football fan and NY Yankees fan. He always had faith that, “this will be their year,” no matter how the year was going for them.
In October 2021, he moved to Bolivia, NC with his partner, Kathleen Davidson where they lived with their cats, Magic and Merlin.
He enjoyed the blue skies of Carolina and sunny days at the beach in his final years.
Roger was predeceased by his father Lawrence, his mother Marjorie and his sister Bonnie.
He is survived by his partner Kathleen, sons Cooper LaRocque and Cutler LaRocque as well as his seven loving siblings.
