Obituary for Joseph D. Goldreich

Joseph D Goldreich of Mount Kisco, NY died at home on Sunday January 18, 2015. He was 89. Born in New York City on October 8. 1925 Joseph was a Mt. Kisco resident for 50 years. Devoted husband of Vivian, they shared a life of family and travel. A graduate of Stuyvesant HS and Union College, a prominent structural engineer in New York, he opened his own practice in 1960 and continued to serve clients until he died. Active in many engineering associations, he is remembered for his involvement with the Concrete Industry Board. An active Boy Scout dad and leader, he received the Silver Beaver Award, Boy Scouts highest honor. Joe also was Grand Marshall of the Chappaqua Memorial Day parade for many years.
Joe is survived by his three beloved sons, Peter and his wife Sophia of Shorewood, MN, Andrew of New York City and Matthew and his two children, Jennifer and Jonathon of Irvington, NY.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Pleasantville, NY. Burial will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.
