Margaret (Reardon) Daly, age 83 of Pleasantville, NY passed away in Dedham, MA on December 29, 2015. Peg, as she was known, was born in Port Chester, NY on April 3, 1932 to Katherine and William Reardon. She was a graduate of Rye Country Day School, Rye, NY and the College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ. Peg married James Daly, and together they raised five children. She worked as a social worker at the New York Foundling Hospital before she was married. Peg focused on raising her family and worked part-time as a travel agent. She was a long-time parishioner of Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church in Pleasantville and a volunteer for many years at Northern Westchester and United hospitals. Some of her happiest times were spent with family and friends on Long Beach Island, NJ and Sanibel Island, FL. Peg is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim, children James Jr, (Isabel Rimmer), Kathleen Emerson (Joseph), Kevin (Amy), Patricia Santos (Roniel) and Erin O’Mara (Stephen) as well as seventeen beloved grandchildren. Peg was predeceased by her son, William, her parents and her sister, Ann Reardon Holzwarth.
Visitors will be received by the family at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church in Pleasantville, NY on Saturday, January 9th at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
