Joseph Harry George
Joseph Harry George, 84, of Chappaqua, New York, passed away May 9, 2016. Born on April 14, 1932, in Danbury CT, he was the only child of Harry and Najla George. Joe graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1954 and New York Law School in 1958. He was an Associate Editor of the New York Law Forum. He was a founding partner of Boeggeman, George & Jannace now known as Boeggeman, George & Corde, a preeminent insurance defense firm in White Plains, NY. He was a member of the Whippoorwill Club, Armonk, NY and PGA National Golf Club, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He is predeceased by his wife, Marlene and his son Douglas. He is survived by his daughter, Devon George Eghdami; son-in-law, Bijan Eghdami; son, David George; daughter, Suzanne George; son-in-law, Nathan Tibbits, 8 grandchildren and long-time partner, Inge Stephens. The Family will receive friends Thursday 4 – 8 PM at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home INC. A mass of the Christian Burial will take place Friday at St. John and St. Mary Little Church at 10AM. An interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury, Ct. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of St. John and Mary in Chappaqua, NY.
