While at Pace University, he was my mentor, my teacher and my friend. I remember long cold nights at the eyepiece of a telescope with him. I can only hope that I inspire my students (he got me the teaching job) the way he inspired me ! I hope he is enjoying the view of the stars from his new perspective (no doubt he's teaching someone something about the sky ;-)
